Mit dem Projekt „Raum der Kulturen“ werden junge geflüchtete Männer aus der Gemeinschaftsunterkunft Gerlinger Straße in Berlin Buckow, in einer Reihe von Workshops unter Leitung vom quando quando Gestaltungskollektiv, Stadtmöbel konstruieren und gestalten, die für diverse Nutzungsszenarien  (z.B. Feste, Märkte, Diskussions- und Kennenlernrunden, Schul- und Lehrveranstaltungen, Vereinsaktivitäten, Mediation, Info-Veranstaltungen u.v.m.) frei und unentgeltlich zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Entstehen soll eine öffentliche Infrastruktur für die Buckower Nachbarschaft.

Ziel des Projekts ist die Kontaktaufnahme und das Kennenlernen zwischen Bewohner*innen der Gemeinschaftsunterkunft, Anwohner*innen und den lokalen Buckower Einrichtungen durch gemeinsames Planen, Bauen, Gestalten und Organisieren von Veranstaltungen, zu unterstützen.

Durch den partizipativen Entwurfs- und Bauprozess trainieren die Teilnehmer ihre gestalterischen und handwerklichen Fähigkeiten und entwickeln Identifikation mit der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft.
